NASA's Discovery Program gives scientists the opportunity to dig deep into their imaginations and find innovative ways to unlock the mysteries of the solar system. It represents a breakthrough in the way NASA explores space, with lower-cost, highly focused planetary science investigations designed to enhance our understanding of the solar system. All completed Discovery missions have achieved ground-breaking science within strict cost and schedule limitations, each taking a unique approach to space exploration.
An ongoing project, which offers the scientific community the opportunity to assemble a team and design investigations that complement NASA's larger planetary science explorations. The goal is to launch many smaller missions with fast development times.
Provides up to date information on NASA's two Mars Exploration Rovers -- Spirit and Opportunity -- as they investigate the Martian surface.
Provides information on NASA's series of missions of robotic planetary exploration. The first two in the series are New Horizons, which is enroute to Pluto, and Juno, which will be launched to Jupiter in 2011.
The Comet Nucleus Tour spacecraft was presumed lost during its mission. Includes an overview of the mission and full mishap board investigation report.
