Savage Messiah - UK (1972), directed by Ken Russell, from the book by H.S. Ede. The life together of the two eccentrics - the 18 year old talented young sculptor Henri Gaudier (Scott Antony), and 38 year old Sophie Brzeska (Dorothy Tutin). Also stars Helen Mirren in one of her first movie roles. 'Russell has Gaudier bash through the processes of sculpting and love-making with such a frenzied energy as to make Picasso seem like an impotent sloth.' - British Film Institute.
