The Secret of NIMH was the solo first animated film by Don Bluth. Released in 1982 and based on the book Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, The Secret of NIMH recounts the adventures of the widow-mouse Mrs. Brisby as she tries to save the lives of her children.
