Daan Bantayan besteht aus 20 Barangays und hatte 2002 eine Einwohnerzahl von etwa 59.000.

Die zur Municipality zählende Insel Malapascua liegt ca. sieben Kilometer nordöstlich von Cebu und ca. 25 Kilometer westlich von Leyte. Sie wird, nach dem Hauptort der Insel (dem Barangay Logon), auch Logon Island genannt.
