Paul Heyman's ECW specialized in hardcore style matches and gained in popularity with some fans but fell on hard times and threw in the towel. ECW was resurrected with Stephanie McMahon as the 'owner' for a short time but was then dissolved into World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly known as World Wrestling Federation).
