Danzan Ryu (which essential means Hawaiian style) was founded some time in 1917 by Henry Seishiro Okazaki. He developed the system by combining from various forms of Jujutsu, Okinawan Karate, and the knife techniques of the Philippines.
The AJJF promotes DanZan Ryu Jujitsu, a system of self-defense that incorporates physical and mental training within a philosophy of ethical and moral development.
