Was drafted out of Texas A&I by the Oakland Raiders in 1967. Played Guard for the Raiders from 1967 to 1981. In addition to his many playing accomplishments, Gene Upshaw is the long-time Executive Director of the NFL Players Association. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.
