Formerly known as the Orlando Miracle (1999-2002), the Sun changed ownership and moved to Connecticut prior to the 2003 season. The team is in the Eastern Conference and plays at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. It became the first WNBA team not owned by its NBA counterpart, and the first to move to a non-NBA city.
