Miles Simon was born on November 21, 1975 in Stockholm, Sweden. He is named after the famous musician, Miles Davis. He attended the University of Arizona for four years where he majored in family studies. In 1997 Miles, along with freshman point guard Mike Bibby lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Championship. Miles returned for his senior campaign in 1998 and was named a 1st team All-American, averaging 17.2 points per game and 4.7 assists. Miles was then drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 42th overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft, where he played sparingly. After several seasons in Europe, Miles returned to the USA this year, and signed with the Dakota Wizards of the CBA in November of 2001.
