Her name is Mata Amritanandamayi, which translates into "Mother of Immortal Bliss", but to millions around the world she is known as "Amma" (mother) or "Ammachi" (beloved mother). She is considered a living Saint. Born in Kerala, India in 1953 as the daughter of a fisherman, Amma has heeded the call to help others since childhood.
