The overall Messianic Community is a Mishpochah (family) that includes: Messianic Jewish, Messianic Israel, Messianic Yisrael, Messianic Hebrew, Messianic Sephardic, Nazarene Jewish, Nazarene Israel, Nazarene Yisraelite, and like believers. Rather than denominations there are associations or ministries that are generally affiliated with. What sets apart Messianic Judaism from Judaism is the new covenant belief in Jesus (Yeshua) as the Messiah and His final atonement made for remission of sin. A Messianic Jew retains their Jewish roots, culture, and lifestyle as compared to the counterpart of Christianity.
