People have been praying the Rosary for over 500 years. The Rosary consists of praying the Our Father and Hail Mary while meditating on the mysteries of the life of Jesus Christ. The fifteen mysteries of the Rosary are divided into three groups of five mysteries: Sorrowful, Joyful, and Glorious. The Rosary is both a verbal and mental prayer. The verbal prayer consists of praying the Our Father and Hail Mary. The mental prayer is done by meditating on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the humbleness and fidelity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
