Isaiah was a prophet to the kings of Judah, serving under King Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, during the 8th century B.C. Isaiah's calling as a prophet is recorded in chapter six and sets the main themes for his career: (1) The holiness and majesty of God; (2) The corruption of those about him; (3) The certainty of God's judgment upon the wicked; (4) The blessing of those whose lives are approved of God; and (5) The salvation of a faithful remnant that was to be the new Israel. This category is for Bible studies of the book of Isaiah.
