King Arthur was a legendary king of Britain, said to live during the fifth or sixth century. His legend became entertwined with magic and epic quests, such as the Quest for the Holy Grail. Merlin was his wizard, and King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table were said to venture on various quests, rescuing maidens or recovering precious treasures.
