Organic farming can be defined as the raising of crops without the use of pesticides, and (not necessarily according to all definitions), also without the use of artificial fertilisers. In recent times it has also come to exclude the use of any plants with genetically modified germplasm. This category deals with the techniques of organic farming where they differ from those of conventional farming.
