The island is situated at the shores of the Orinoco river,is 40 kilometers from Curiapo,Its main commercial activity goes around fishing and agriculture. Its houses are built in stilts, called palafitos and its streets which are simply wooden bridges. Offers the possibility to become a very important tourism center.
