Chevy Chase DC neighborhood lies across the DC-Maryland border across from Chevy Chase, Maryland; within the District it is bounded by Rock Creek Park to the east and the neighborhoods of American University Park to the southwest and Van Ness/North Cleveland Park to the south. The area is mostly residential, although there are commercial developments along Connecticut Avenue NW. Along Wisconsin Avenue NW is one of Washington's premiere shopping districts, including the Mazza Gallerie and Chevy Chase Pavilion shopping centers.
