Clare, Michigan, 48617 is located near the center of the state, just 15 minutes north of Mt. Pleasant on M-27. Clare has a rich Irish heritage and most of its festivals and celebrations have an Irish focus. Nicknamed "the Gateway to the North," Clare is at the southern end of what would be considered northern Michigan or "up north" by locals.
