Rural town of 15-square miles in area located on the Connecticut River in Franklin County. The fewer than 1600 inhabitants live mostly in single-family homes. Gill is the home of Northfield Mount Hermon School, a coeducational college preparatory school previously known as the Mount Hermon School for Boys.
