Plymouth [Litchfield County] was formerly known as Northbury. It was incorporated from Watertown in 1795 and named from the origin of one of its early settlers.
Area, 22.3 sq. miles. Population, 2000 Census, 11,634. Voting districts, 2. Principal industries, agriculture and manufacture of locks, meters, pumps, computers, screw machine products, plastics, electronics, mailable iron castings and hardware.
