A small community in the Sierra Nevada, in the eastern half of El Dorado County, at 6117 feet elevation. It is located along Highway 50 and the South Fork of the American River, about 15 miles southwest of South Lake Tahoe and 3 miles west of Sierra-at-Tahoe ski area. Zip code is 95735.

Residents of the small area known as Strawberry, a few miles west of Twin Bridges, use the Twin Bridges mailing address, and so sites for that area may also be placed in this category. This is not to be confused with the town of Strawberry located near the Stanislaus River in Tuolumne County, further to the south.
