The Ontario Government operates a large network of provincial parks. The goal of Ontario Parks is to ensure that Ontario's provincial parks protect significant natural, cultural, and recreational environments, while providing ample opportunities for visitors to participate in recreational activities. There are six classes of parks: Recreation, Historical, Natural Environment, Nature Reserve, Waterway, and Wilderness.
