Although visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake are given a healthy choice of places to stay overnight, it isn't confined to homes in the town itself. The selection extends well into the neighbouring countryside and its communities. A small number of guest homes can be found along Lakeshore Road or the Niagara Parkway. More exist among the Lines and Concessions that criss cross the vineyards and orchards that surround the town. And several are located in Queenston, St.Davids, and Virgil. As anywhere else in Niagara-on-the-Lake, there are some historical houses, but most of the guest homes in the outlying areas are of a more recent vintage. At most, however, they are no more than a half hour drive away from the town's centre.
