Mount Forest in North Wellington County is located at the junction of Highways 6 and 89 and is about on hour's drive from Guelph via Highway 6. The Saugeen River where the fishing is good, flows through the outskirts of town. The area is mainly agricultural, although a number of industries have located in this pleasant community which offers quality living. Mount Forest combines the best of old-world charm with modern-day pursuits. It offers several attractive Bed & Breakfasts, which showcase some of Mount Forest's many gracious Victorian and pre-Victorian homes. The surrounding area offers Golf Courses, Mobile Home Parks, and many more outdoor activities, all taking place in a beautiful natural setting with fresh country air. (by funk)
