Wimbledon is a town with a distinct identity in South-West London. It has two parts, the "Village", which is the original settlement on a hill and the "Town", in the valley below, which developed around the railway. Wimbledon is famous for its Common and of course the Tennis. It is a night-time destination for south-west London and increasingly central London.
