Chats and Forums are online communities where people meet (albeit virtually) and interact or discuss whatever may concern them. Forums, also known as message boards, discussion boards, originate from Usenet groups, and are places where you can post your message on your topic of your choice, for everyone to view, and come back later to read the replies. Chats refer to real-time interactive messaging, the most famous example of which is ICQ.
