Students at this faculty graduate with an M.B, B.S degree, which is the professional qualification to be a medical doctor (MD). The faculty, via the various departments, also offers post-graduate training in the various sub-specialities. The various departments are fairly autonomous, and most are based outside of the university. The National University Hospital (NUH), while nominally the faculty teaching hospital, is in practice an autonomous public health-care institution under the National Health Care group.
