The Airedale Terrier often referred to as "The King of Terriers" originated in Yorkshire, England where it was used primarily to kill vermin. It is the largest of the terriers measuring 23-24" at the top of the shoulder. It's coat is hard, dense, wiry, tan with a black or dark grizzle saddle and non-shedding. The coat needs to be clippered several times a year. The Airedale is a popular watch dog and family pet and is good with children. Exercise should include a daily walk.
