The Cuvac is a large white sheepdog. The first registration of the breed was in Czechoslovakia by Professor Antonin Hruza in 1929. The breed has been recognized by the FCI since 1965. The breed is also known as the Slovak Cuvac, Slovak Chuvach, Tatransky Cuvac and Slovensky Kuvac or Tchouvatch.
