The term "Master Gardener" was first coined in the early 1970s to describe a new Agricultural Extension program initiated in Washington State. Since then the idea for organized groups of volunteer gardeners providing information to other interested gardeners has spread into communities all over the United States and Canada. If you are interested in gardening, we hope you can find a link to Master Gardeners in your location. They are frequently experts in many areas of gardening, and are eager to share valuable information and resources with other interested gardeners. If you're a member of a state or local Master Gardener chapter, we'd like to know about your web site so we can include it here. It's a great opportunity for master gardeners all over the country to compare notes, share contact information, and exchange ideas and resources. Enjoy exploring these links and send us your submissions!
