Tiramisu is traditionally a light composition of sponge cake or ladyfingers dipped in a coffee Marsala wine mixture, then layered with mascarpone cheese and grated chocolate. Although tiramisu is sometimes referred to as an Italian triffle, its texture is much lighter than that dessert. This category offers a number of traditional tiramisu recipes, as well as many non-traditional ones using fruit, low fat versions, and even a low carb version.
