Red Flag Software Co., Ltd., a fast-growing firm, makes several Linux distributions and products: Red Flag Linux, Red Flag Linux Desktop, Red Flag Cluster Server, and Red Flag Webmail Server. It was cofounded in June 2000, as a joint venture between the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS), and government-owned Shanghai NewMargin Venture Capital. Jiang Mianheng, son of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, plays a prominent role in Red Flag management. The firm is partnering with many Western firms. Their headquarters is in Beijing, People's Republic of China. Their website has information, documents, downloads, product lists and images, news and announcements, and is in Chinese and English.
