Best known as the creator of the 'Daleks' which helped popularize the UK science fiction series 'Doctor Who'.
Also created 'The Survivors' (1975), and 'Blake's Seven' (1978), writing the entire first series and six later episodes.
Winner of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award (1975).
Died 9 March 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
