A new American musical that draws from the catalog of songs written and made famous by Johnny Cash. Opening on Broadway March 12, 2006, it is not a biography of Cash, but rather the essence of an American experience. At the center of the show are six principals paired off to make three couples: young, middle-aged and older, played by Beth Malone and Tony Award-winner Jarrod Emick, Grammy Award-winner Lari White and Jeb Brown, and Jason Edwards and Cass Morgan.

This latest entry in the jukebox musical sweepstakes of Broadway has little to do with the dark, troubled and excitingly dangerous presence that most people remember as Johnny Cash.
