Five Rhythms™ Dance (aka the Wave) is an improvisational movement practice created by Gabrielle Roth and also referred to as a form of ecstatic dance. The rhythms are Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. The practice is claimed to raise self-awareness and be therapeutic.
