Salsa dancing is a popular form of partner dancing that has its origins in Cuba and New York during the 1970s.

The term salsa means "mixture", and salsa dancing is a mixture of the many dance forms that preceded it, namely Cuban Son, Afro-Cuban dance, mambo, cha cha cha, guaguanco, and pachanga. More recently, salsa dancers have incorporated movements and styling from other dance forms such as ballet, hip hop, gymnastics, and contemporary dance.

Salsa dancing is one of the most popular forms of partnered dancing in the world, with salsa clubs and festivals over 150 countries. As salsa has traveled around the world, many distinct styles have developed, including New York style, LA style, Colombian salsa, and Cuban rueda.

This category is for all forms of salsa dancing.
