Bbbritish character actor and comedienne, born Guildford, Surrey, 15 July 1952. Well known through her association with the work of Victoria Wood, Celia's CV encompasses rich and varied film and television work, from 'Sparkhouse' to 'Bridget Jones's Diary'. Was made up to look extremely fat for the role in BBC's 'Gormenghast' of Lady Gertrude Groan, an aristocrat who is more interested in her cats than her husband.
