John Gavin (*1928 or 1931 in Los Angeles, CA) was born as John Anthony Golenor and is sometimes credited also as Jack Golenor. In 1950s he was an intelligence officer in US Navy. His film debut was 1956 in "Four Girls in Town" as Tom Grant. John Gavin's well-known parts include Sam Loomis in "Psycho" (1960), Caesar in "Spartacus" (1960), Trevor Graydon in "Thoroughly Modren Millie" (1967) and Dr. Jeff Latimer in movie and TV series "Doctors' Private Lives" (1978-1979). From 1971 to 1973 he was president of the Screen Actors Guild. He was also one of the candidates to the part of James Bond after George Lazenby. He quit acting in film industry 1980. John Gavin has been married twice, since 1974 to Constance Towers who is also an actress.
