Don S. Davis is a character actor, a painter, a woodcarver, a designer, a former theatre professor, and was a Captain in the United States Army during the sixties. He began working in the film industry while teaching at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada in the early 1980's. He left teaching to pursue acting full time in 1987. He has appeared in numerous feature films including The Fan, Alaska, A League of their Own, Nook, Hero, Needful Things, Mystery Date, Look Who's Talking, Con Air and The Sixth Day. His television credits include the role of Agent Scully's father on The X-Files and the role of Major Briggs on Twin Peaks. Other television credits include Slick Air, Broken Badges, Northern Exposure, L.A. Law, Knots Landing, Wiseguy and MacGyver. Davis has had featured roles in the television movies Hostage Negotiator, Fire on the Mountain, Stepsister, Tricks, Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue, In Cold Blood, A Dream is a Wish the Heart Makes, The Ranger, One More Mountain, Columbo: A Bird in the Hand, Omen IV: The Awakening, The Prisoner of Zenda and the miniseries Atomic Train.
