Simon Callow - British actor director and writer of stage, TV and film, born 13th June 1949, London. Films include 'Amadeus' (1984), 'A Room with a View' (1986), 'Maurice' (1987), and 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' (1994). He has written acclaimed biographies of Charles Laughton and Orson Welles. He was awarded the C.B.E. (Commander of the British Empire) in 1999.
