Garry Marshall was well known as the writer for classic sitcoms as The Odd Couple and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., the creator of such sitcoms as Happy Days and its spin-offs, the director of film hits Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries, as well as an actor in several films such as Never Been Kissed. He was also the author of the book "Wake Me When It's Funny: How to Break into Show Business and Stay There". He was born November 13, 1934 and died July 19, 2016.
