Myrna Loy was born Myrna Adele Williams on the 2nd of August 1905. In silent films she was cast in bit parts as an exotic femme fatale. She broke out of that mould and into the Hollywood "A" list when she co-starred with William Powell in 1934's The Thin Man. She continued to be one of the most popular stars in the thirties and forties, winning the accolade "Queen of Hollywood". Later in life her film appearances lessened as she became active in politics. Myrna Loy died on the 14th of December 1993.
