Moved to Canada with fellow entertainer Fred Rogers in 1963. Best known for portraying the character of Mr. Dressup on the CBC children's program "Butternut Square". Was presented with The Academy of Canadian and Television's prestigious Earle Grey Award in 1994, and the Order of Canada in 1996. Died 18th September 2001 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, following a stroke.
