This category is for concert bands, symphonic wind bands and larger wind ensembles in Europe. A concert band typically consists of a mixture of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, with possibly the addition of a string bass. A symphonic wind band, symphonic winds, wind symphony or wind band generally consists of similar instrumentation to a concert band, but with normally only one player per part. A wind ensemble is any group composed of only wind instruments, with usually one player per part and possibly percussion and/or keyboard instruments.
