Spanish (Catalan) early Classical period composer, keyboardist, and music theoritician Padre Antonio Francisco Javier José Soler Ramos (1729-1783) was a student of Domenico Scarlatti. His Llave de la modulación introduced principles of modulation that were novel for his time but became widely accepted. His abilities as organist and organ composer led to his being consulted in the construction of several new instruments.
