English composer Stewart Hylton Edwards (1924-1987) packed several careers into one brief life: He was music teacher, soldier, music writer and broadcaster, and businessman. From England through South Africa and Canada and finally to Trinidad he moved, composing and otherwise working at each stop. Just as it seemed that he was ready to make full impact on the world of classical music, he electrocuted himself by running an electric lawn mower across its power cord.
