Spanish Romantic composer Enrique Costanzo Granados y Campiña (1867-1916) is most known for beautiful piano compositions. The piano suite Goyescas, inspired by the painter's works, later became the basis for an opera of the same name. Other noted works include the twelve Danzas españolas for piano. He died when his boat was torpedoed following an American tour.
