It's Only A Paper Moon, Stormy Weather, I've Got the World on A String, Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive, and, to top them all, OVER THE RAINBOW--if you know any of these songs then you already know the music of Harold Arlen (1905-1986). Born Hyman (Chaim) Arluck, Arlen was one of the most prolific composers in 20th Century America. He wrote for the Cotton Club, for stage plays, and for Hollywood. From 1924 through 1976, Arlen wrote over 400 songs, working with 31 different lyricists.
