Born Herbert Pryor Vallée in 1901, Vallée was one of the most popular entertainers of the 1930s. He began recording in 1921 and hosted the first radio talk show in 1928. Over his career, he acted in 33 films and starred in the Broadway hit How To Succeed In Business Without Even Trying in 1961. He continued to perform until his death in 1986.
