It was in 1994 at a basement party in Sheffield that Irish-born singer Roisin Murphy approached mixer/producer Mark Brydon with the come-on, "Do you like my tight sweater? See how it fits my body." Brydon saw the musical potential, and soon afterwards he and Murphy collaborated to produce an album appropriately titled "Do you like my tight sweater?". Thus, Moloko was born. They followed up with "I Am Not A Doctor" in 1998, and in 2000 released "Things To Make And Do".

The duo continued to produce music with an undefinable yet distinctive style, often a mixture of trip hop, drum 'n' bass, dance, and ambient electronic music.
